I have been training hard in Hawaii because I have had some time before school starts and time to train has been easy to come by. Saturday Robyn, Melia and I went up to north shore after a trip to the Dole plantation. We went to sharks cove, and sunset beach. after playing in the huge waves a bit and getting pushed around a bit we played in the sand for a while. Melia was having a blast running and diving on top of the sand naked of course. we got lots of sun and then headed of to find a shower up the road at another beach closer to pipeline. I changed into my gay spandex and headed off on my ride. I rode from sunset beach north-east around the island. I rode 87 miles and got home long after the sun went down. I got lost in Kailua, and in Hawaii-kai/diamon head area. I ended up riding 2500' climbing and felt ok the whole time. I ate three chocolate bars, three gu's, a powerbar, a gatoraid, and lots of sand blowing in my face. It was a great ride and very scenic till you get back into the city. I rode by the LDS temple and BYU hawaii and shortly after I passed it I felt like I was in Fiji because of the road, scenery and beaches. It was a awesome ride and day at the beach.

I have less than two weeks till the 112 mile race that will cap my season here. I have now ridding the entire course around the island and the main hill I have climbed about five times. I feel ready to tackle the course, but I know the competition will be good too with lots of triathletes and time trialists here I am sure to piss some people off when I draft on the wheels the entire race and sprint to the finish to beat them after they pulled me all day long!~!! ha ha

I just registered for school and I have to go build a dresser now.

Sounds like a radical ride. I wish I had the time to do that, and the scenery.... It is so dull and boring here. Way to go Dan. YOu always motivate me, just so you know!
