Lift on the Jeep

So last night I was up till 8 working on the Jeep. I had bought Robyn a lift for her car for christmas last year and till now I have not had any time to work on it. But this week I have been feeling rather sick and I am short on work so I thought I would give it a go.

First I jacked it up and took off the wheels.

Then I removed the shocks and the stabilizer bars

then I took out the coil springs (they are those huge springs behind the wheels).

I placed some enormous rubber spacers in between the spring and the car and I had to use a special tool to compress the spring and re-insert it back into the same place.

I put everything back together and she is now 3 inches higher than before.

I am pretty proud of doing that to her jeep since I had no idea what I was doing. Now I can do a whole bunch of stuff under there if I wanted to in the future. Its always fun being succesfull at new stuff like that.

So she is happy that she is now higher up on the road and can kick more butt out there on the huge texas streets!
